Bacterial screening is common in experiments in which molecular cloning constructs recombinant bacteria. It is also used to detect the expression and activity of specific proteins. The QPix 400 Series Microbial Cloning Screening System detects a range of fluorescence wavelengths and opens up multicolor fluorescence screening capabilities in bacterial experiments. Manual selection of microbial clones is a time consuming and cumbersome process, and with the QPix system, more than 3,000 clones can be picked in an hour.
