Nursing Care of Fruit Trees

Due to winter pruning, mechanical damage, human and animal damage, insect pests, freezing damage, wind damage, etc., seedling wounds must be promptly nursed to reduce tree water loss, and to prevent the trees from freezing, to prevent pathogen infection, and to promote wound healing. The tree will flourish in the coming year. Commonly used trauma treatment methods are as follows: 1. Cutting branches. Dead branches may be sawed or cut off from the vicinity of the injury site. Branches that are lightly wounded and subjected to freezing injury and wind damage should be cut off at a clear boundary between life and death. The incision should be smooth. Apply protective agent or wax to the wound immediately after treatment to heal and shoot new shoots. For larger wounds, it is usually wound with a plastic film at the wound of the fruit branch for several times. This method can promote wound healing and has a good antifreeze effect on fruit trees. However, when the rainy season arrives, it should be moderately loosened. 2. Scrape the skin. Large branches of the wound or rot disease, etc., in the early stages of disease should be promptly scraped the bark of the diseased part, deep to the xylem. It is best to scrape into a healthy area to stimulate the healing of the wound as soon as possible. After brushing, evenly apply 75% alcohol or 1% to 3% potassium permanganate solution with a brush, or apply iodine bactericidal disinfection, and then apply fire-melted wax or a protective agent (0.5 kg of animal oil. Put into the pot and heat, and then put 2.5 kg of rosin and 1.5 kg of yellow wax, and stir until it melts, then cool and serve). 3. Make up holes. When the wound has become a tree hole, repair it in time to prevent the tree hole from expanding. First of all, the rot inside the hole is thoroughly removed, the necrotic tissue at the edge of the hole is removed, the drug is disinfected, and the mixture is filled with cement and small stones in a ratio of 1:3. It can also be used for small tree holes, which can be filled with wooden studs or wedged with 30% sawdust. 4. To hang. For branches that are blown off by wind or lightly injured, the half-split branches can be hoisted or lifted to restore the original state. Clean up the wound debris, tie it with a rope or wire or tie it with a wooden board so that the crack is tight and seamless, and then pack it tightly with plastic film on the outside. After six months, you can untie it. 5. Kill insects. Some seedling branches are damaged by the worms of Giardia and Tengu, leaving many wormholes and excretions. The sharp skin of the victim can be scraped off with a sharp knife, coated with 100 times liquid 40% omethoate after scraping, and a small amount of kerosene can poison the larvae. The scraped wound is timely coated with a protective agent or waxed to promote wound healing. For deeper pests, it is recommended to use cotton or rag 80% of dichlorvos 100 times into the wormhole to poison the larvae. It is also possible to dilute the above-mentioned drug several times, inject it into the wormhole with a syringe, and seal the wormhole with wet mud, all of which can receive a good control effect.
