Ikn equipment in vegetable oil applications

Edible oil is extracted from animal and vegetable fats and is common in everyday foods. We mainly focus on vegetable oils. Such oils include the following types: cottonseed oil, palm oil, peanut oil, soybean oil, sunflower oil, linseed oil, and the like. These oils are extracted and purified by solvent. The purification process consists of the following steps:

Degumming. The crude oil is treated with water or acid (phosphoric acid) for centrifugation.

Alkali treatment. The degummed oil needs to be treated with an alkali solution to reduce the content of unsaturated fatty acids and to remove impurities by means of saponification. The saponified product can be removed by washing with water.

bleach. The oil phase was further purified and destained by bleaching. Pigments are usually absorbed by Montmorillonite or clay. Adsorbents and attachments can be removed by filtration.

Deodorize. Vacuum distillation is used to remove various compounds that produce taste and color.

Next, the feedstock oil is subjected to fractionation, hydrogenation, fat exchange and lipidation, and it is also possible to leave the factory directly. This is all based on the requirements of the final product.
